Individual Therapy: Adolescents and Adults
Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)
Adam is a licensed social worker whose zeal for working with adolescents and adults stems from the origin of the word psychology, which is the “study of the soul.” Whether this soul work occurs within a spiritual or secular context for the client, Adam has developed skills and approaches to aid clients toward a greater sense of wholeness, including psychodynamic, client-centered, existential, transpersonal, expressive, and behavioral therapies.
His experience ranges from working within schools and community-based mental health to inpatient substance abuse and addiction settings, and his knowledge of various cultures includes perspectives from multiple faiths and spiritual views to meet his clients where their strengths lie. Adam’s passion lies in aiding clients by building internal resources that lead toward improved self-esteem, improved motivation, and an increased sense of freedom to make choices, all of which are useful in the treatment of anxiety, depression, trauma, bipolar disorder, addictions, spiritual, and existential issues.
